About

Welcome to Your Life Sucks — your favorite semi-functional depressed lifestyle blog.

I’m not here to fix your life. I’m here to say: I feel the same way. This idea started on a random train ride after work. I wasn’t crying, I wasn’t even particularly stressed or upset. In fact, the trains were not being completely unbearable that day. But I wasn’t exactly living the dream either. I just had this moment where I thought, “Wow, your life sucks.” Not in a catastrophic way — just in that slow, soul-numbing, why does everything feel meh and nothing changes no matter how hard I try kind of way. This blog is for the people who:

  • Are tired of pretending they’re okay and that they’re not one Teams or Outlook notification away from totally losing it

  • Have tried countless self-help tips and tricks

  • Still want something better, even if they have no energy to get it

You’ll find a mix of:

  • Crash out, burnout diaries

  • Messy attempts at healing

  • Things that are working and things that will never work

  • Maybe a horror story or unhinged thought spiral if I’m feeling cute

If you feel like you’re drowning in capitalism, clutter, and feelings, welcome. If you feel like your body and your job have both betrayed you, same. If you’re just here to read about someone’s life to help you feel better about yourself, come along!

This isn’t about hustle. This is about self-rescue. I’m not completely sure it’s possible to get out of the redundancy of modern life, but I can’t say I won’t try. I do sincerely hope I’m not the only one whispering “what the fuck is my life” on the train after 8 hours of typing in my little Excel spreadsheets.
